David Kaye, born 1986, is an artist from Bradford best recognised for his cartoon paintings which are executed with a realistic touch. The two most prolific figures in his work are the hooded balloon, and the childlike figure wearing a helmet adorned with big glossy spheres. Recalling his love for drawing cartoons from an early age, it was during and after his time serving in the Armed Forces that David turned to his creative side, in order to explore his emotions – both visible and hidden.

Since then, David’s work has enjoyed successful print releases and been exhibited nationally at the Waluso Gallery in London. Internationally, his work has featured at the Laputa Art Centre in Shanghai and Nych Gallery in Chicago, amongst others.
