"In my work I use physical performance as a way to explore the psychological landscape of modern society. In an attempt to make sense of my own body and the world around me, I use both personal and collective memory as a springboard to discuss the poignancy, absurdity and ugliness of the human condition. Through these images I want to question the nature of nihilistic existence , and test the boundaries between safety and chaos, pain and pleasure, life and death." - Marcus Nelson
