Slawn is a Nigerian-born skater, co-founder of Motherlan, and artist based in London. Still studying a Graphic Design degree at Middlesex University, his artwork has shot to prominence over the last two years, having only started painting during the first Covid lockdown. Slawn’s sell-out series of spray-painted canvasses feature his archetypal style which includes pop shade backgrounds with thick black marker faces.

His distinctive way of working has led him to collaborations with UGG, spray painting a mural in Shoreditch, as well as modelling for Frank Ocean’s luxury fashion brand, Homer. Slawn also worked for Virgil Abloh’s brand Off White and has pumped out special projects working in cooperation with ForeverGood to paint a classic Mercedes, and with 4BYSIX to cover a double-decker bus.
