The Wajukuu children are incredible, hilarious and full of spirit. Over the weekend workshop they flitted between two states: intently focused on their paintings or bouncing off of the walls, doing little dances and singing songs. They became great friends and in them I see bright futures.

This panel was painted by Fidel Ng'ang'a. It is 27 x 48cm, and made of acrylic on aluminium. The sale of this painting will go directly toward the Wajukuu Art Project of Nairobi, Kenya.

Children often swim in the local river when it floods. The chemicals from the nearby factories are drained into this river, making it a fluorescent red or green at times. When the river is high these chemicals are diluted enough for some fun, even though they arent allowed by their parents, says Fidel.
