Peter Jeppson is a figurative painter who has gained international recognition for his unique approach to painting emotive characters out of inanimate objects. Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1985, Jeppson has always had a passion for art and has spent the better part of his life exploring various artistic styles. Through his use of pastoral colors and textural techniques, Jeppson brings his characters to life, infusing them with personality and emotion. His figures range from the whimsical to the introspective, with each piece telling a unique story that speaks to the human condition. The anthropomorphized pencils, cigarettes, apples, tomatoes and other absurd objects live curious lives.
Usually framed within a non-descript background, they come from the deep recesses of Jeppson’s imagination, formed from the fuzz of muddied interactions. Today, Jeppson continues to create his thought-provoking works from his studio in Stockholm. His passion for art remains as strong as ever, and his dedication to his craft is reflected in each of his unique and captivating pieces. He has had recent solo exhibitions with Moosey Gallery in London and Gallery Func in Shanghai.
