Taher Jaoui is an abstract expressionist living and working in Madrid, Spain. He meticulously balances rich assemblages of layered forms applied to canvas in a dynamic dialogue between himself and his materials. Jaoui's art is not just a collection of abstract gestures, but rather a deeply personal and expressive journey through the nuances of mathematical space. Exclusively constructed in an automatic or subconscious manner, Taher Jaoui explores the mathematical underpinnings of the universe. Each stroke of the brush is a deliberate expression of the intricate and complex nature of the world around us. The use of large-scale space allows the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the experience, as if they were being pulled into the canvas itself.

His almost constructionist process is a result of an academic background in engineering and computer science, painting with the fundamentals of a programmer. He builds upon his canvas and context with a number of singular items, creating its context with a conditional languange. Through his use of movement, repetition, and colour motif, Jaoui invites the viewer to explore the depths of their own consciousness and embrace the mysteries of the universe.
