"I got involved, because there's nothing more important than loving your neighbour and helping out. There are so many people on earth that need help. Every small act adds up! I hope 4BYSIX continue to be successful for years and years to come!" - Jonathan Edelhuber

The work of American artist Jonathan Edelhuber is both on the forefront of modern graphic design and at times harkening back to primitive iconography. With a background in graphic design, Edelhuber masterfully combines these two elements. Knowing exactly where to elaborate and where to simplify he plays with repetitive motifs, some of which have been haunting humans since the dawn of art. His eye and skull icon endlessly permutate, always watching the viewer in variations of definition.

Another recurring formula presents a figure atop a stack of books, creating still lifes or sculptures reminiscent of Brancusi and Picasso. This work plays directly to a specific moment, pulling contemporary art theory directly into his work. Where most artists try to conceal their references, describing themselves as wholly fresh, Edelhuber maintains his relationship to those who have come before by turning their writing into a pedestal. For those who come after him, he puts some kind of modern figure on top, to bookmark his place in time. This dual practice of repetition and curation keeps Jonathan Edelhuber’s work exciting, while allowing him to produce something truly new.

Framing: We recommend displaying a bus panel floating in a frame (frame not included)

Popcorn bidding: If a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional five minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.
