"I chose to participate in this project, because 4BYSIX has a humanitarian vision and making a painting to support their vision plays into my vision as well. I am a firm believer in using our gifts to improve the lives of others, and my artistic gift is of value when it benefits other people" - KPE Innocent

Ghana-based artist, KPE Innocent (b.1994), reduces the body to engineered objects. His architectural paintings are an extension of his faith, symbolising the role of a “creator” in the natural world. The anatomy of his figures become a precise construction of spheres, cylinders, and boxes, adorned with an earthy pastel palette. Each composition leaves plenty of room for its characters where negative space provides the space to breath and reflect.

Innocent draws inspiration from the systems around him, in which he finds comfort in their evidence of being designed. Combining contemporary aesthetics, like streetwear and architecture, with Christian theology, he speculates on the production of life. Devoid of western religious symbols, the artist manages to share his appreciation, hope, and serenity without referencing foreordained cultural images. KPE Innocent’s minimalist effort attempts to remove the artist from the art, creating shapes without the brushstrokes left by the hand of an individual.

Framing: We recommend displaying a bus panel floating in a frame (frame not included)

Post and Packaging:

UK: £75.00

Popcorn bidding: If a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional five minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.
