    “At an early age I began making things from metal.  From the beginning my preference has always been to work directly with simple hand tools. Hammers, files, chisels, torch and forge  are my essential tool kit. I work in all types of metal.  Iron, copper, gold or silver all fall under my hammer. I describe my personal profession as “Metalsmith”. The work I produce ranges from purely sculptural to modestly functional. My work is process oriented. By this I mean that; the form, texture and color of my work is a direct response to how a given material behaves. No matter if it’s a piece of 18-kt gold or some knackered bit of scrap metal, when I am at work on a project, it’s always a collaboration.”
