Bohdan’s practice focuses on the meaning and storytelling which comes from a place of wanting to touch the soul of the viewer. Bohdan’s main aim is to evoke a thoughtful reaction for the viewer so they can reflect and place themselves within the topic of the painting as the protagonist. For Bohdan, the meaning is more important than the final outcome.

By using a monochromatic and dark colour palette, Plugged In shows a dull, dark and depressing scene in which the individual, central to the composition, is found in an obsessive state by sitting and looking/scrolling on his phone. The artist is capturing a future which does not arrive suddenly, but grows quietly from habits already familiar to us. 
Mirrored in the shape of the beard, the lone figure spends an infinite amount of time absorbed by a screen. The painting reflects on digital dependency, isolation and the unsettling possibility that a dystopian future may simply look like never looking away. "
