Paint on repurposed London bus panel
Boniface Makenzi (age 13)
The Wajukuu children are incredible, hilarious and full of spirit. Over the weekend workshop they flitted between two states: intently focused on their paintings or bouncing off of the walls, doing little dances and singing songs. They became great friends and in them I see bright futures.
This panel was painted by Boniface Makenzi. It is 29.5 x 47cm, and made of acrylic on aluminium. The sale of this painting will go directly toward the Wajukuu Art Project of Nairobi, Kenya.
According to Boniface, in times of peace, problems are easy to resolve. Business is good and people make a living in many ways. This is why he decided to paint someone selling goods, like bananas, oranges, onions, kale, spinach, and many many avocados. This woman is selling cooked bulgur wheat.

Popcorn bidding: If a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional five minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.
