The characters of Hong Kong born artist Hang are in tears, for their world is spiritually empty. Hang juxtaposes the vibrancy of city life against the reality behind its facade. Her paintings and drawings are expertly composed of a psychedelic colour palette and mesmerising pattern, immediately cloaking any of the artist's struggle. But deep in the eyes of her figure it is visible: the constant battle against the mundane.
The battle against ever rushing flow of the settled and the draining of life. The only hope for an artist is to perch themselves here, besides Hang. Where she sits just barely unsettled, looking onto, and celebrating a world that is beautiful, yet not succumbed to it. The overflowing tears of her reoccurring protagonist are a reflection of the artist's psyche, power, and memories in a fundamentally conflicting environment.
