British-born figurative painter K.T. Kobel, currently based in Amsterdam, NL, captures suspended moments in time, blurring the boundaries between experience and reality. Through a cinematic lens, his work explores temporal junctures within the in-between, offering a glimpse into the complex interplay of memory and the human condition. Kobel isolates fragments of memory, transforming them into evocative, enigmatic symbols while intentionally obscuring broader narratives. This results in artworks where transient memories persistently exist just beyond grasp.
