Olusegun Tosin Kalejaye is a self-taught contemporary visual artist who works primarily with charcoal, acrylic and oil on canvases and archival paper. His work is ignited by his early childhood interest in drawing portraits. Kalejaye uses his art to convey his ideas and impressions about modern society and the everyday Black experience. His art genre, widely ingrained in storytelling, representation, identity and historical documentation, intends to incite emotion in viewers. It initiates mere social conversations to ultra-practical actions and liberates one's consciousness.

Kalejaye's work has been featured in a solo exhibition, Give Them Their Flowers, Context Art Miami, Christopher Moller Gallery, Miami (2021). His work was also featured in several group exhibitions, including Self-Addressed, Jeffrey Deitch Gallery, Los Angeles, USA (2021); Emergence, Christopher Moller Gallery, Cape Town (2021); The Art of Art, Modern Eden Gallery, San Francisco, USA (2021); POW! WOW! The First Decade: From Hawai'i To The World, Thinkspace Projects, Los Angeles, USA (2021); Stop, Listen!, CFHill Art Space, Stockholm (2021); Liminality in Infinite Space, Africa Artists' Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria (2020); Global Conversation, UN75 x F.99 x Google Arts and Culture, The United Nations (2020) and Making Black and Brown Art Important Again, Brooklyn Ubuciko Festival, New York (2020) - Volery Gallery

Popcorn and cascade bidding:

If a bid is placed during the last 2 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional 2 minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.

Cascade bidding ensures auction lots close at staggering times, one after another. For example, the first lot of an auction might close at 12:01pm, the second lot would close at 12:02pm, then the third lot at 12:03pm, etc.
