Born in Taiwan in 1991, Chen Wei Ting is best known for his works with acrylic paints. His methods take inspiration from Roland L. Bachmann’s concept of fragmentation, each piece needing to be put together to fully understand his thoughts. In this vein, Chen’s work is usually accompanied by poems that relate to the visual parts in order to give viewers a complete sense of story.

Currently based in Tokyo, Chen has taken part in solo and group exhibitions across Asia, including the Kyoto National Museum, Line Gallery in Beijing, and Gallery Ascend in Hong Kong. His work has also recently featured in 2022’s Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Fair.
