Christina Allan, known for her vibrant airbrushed paintings, received her BFA in Painting from Parsons the New School for Design in 2017. At the heart of her fantastical and existential paintings is a deep societal anxiety in which her characters exist in a realm of nothingness. Through an existentialist and spiritual lens, Allan's paintings present an escape from quotidian existence and explore deep-rooted questions and curiosities of what exists beyond humanity. Allan contemplates the individual and collective anxieties that surround the human condition and psyche, and one's meaning within a vast and absurd universe. She has exhibited internationally through solo and group exhibitions in London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Miami, New York City and Paris. Her work can be found in private collections throughout Asia, Canada, Europe and the United States.

Popcorn and cascade bidding:

If a bid is placed during the last 2 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional 2 minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.

Cascade bidding ensures auction lots close at staggering times, one after another. For example, the first lot of an auction might close at 12:01pm, the second lot would close at 12:02pm, then the third lot at 12:03pm, etc.
