Born in Ploemeur, France, in 1986. Lucien Murat has developed his own AI program, fed with textures gleaned in his paintings, allowing him to generate variations of any pictures of nature. Like a landscape painter he interprets these images in which nature looks petrified and derelicts, fading away. Technics of textures are central in his practice where he tends to create images or objects that evoke the slow dereliction of our world caused by global warming and human activities. Lucien Murat is represented by gallery Suzanne Tarasieve (France) and Plan X (Italy).

Popcorn and cascade bidding:
If a bid is placed during the last 2 minutes of the auction, the closing time will be automatically extended for an additional 2 minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The item will close once all bidding activity has stopped. This is recommended for high-value and popular items. Popcorn bidding prevents bidders from waiting until the last minute to bid without giving the bidders who were outbid an opportunity to rebid.
Cascade bidding ensures auction lots close at staggering times, one after another. For example, the first lot of an auction might close at 12:01pm, the second lot would close at 12:02pm, then the third lot at 12:03pm, etc.
