Stephanie Homa (b.1981) (known professionally as Super Future Kid) creates luminous paintings, sculptures and ceramics, often in connection with one another. Her distilled figures are suspended within translucent layers of paint, giving form to what might otherwise remain unseen. Beginning with drawing and unfolding through an intuitive process, her work creates figures and worlds governed by their own emotional logic. Working with fluid paint, overlapping shapes and varying degrees of translucency, Homa constructs bodies whose recognition remains fluid, shifting between clarity and uncertainty. Play is central to her process, creating space for unexpected relationships between painting and object-making to emerge.
